Mobilizing volunteers and humanitarian aid in the United States to benefit populations in abject poverty in areas of Central America.

Cost: The basic cost of the trip is $750 double and $950 single. This includes on ground transportation to rural villages, translators, air conditioned hotel accommodations, food for four clinic days. You will need to take $250 for meals and $33 for airport exit tax. Airline fares can run anywhere from $550 to $750 per person.

Teams: Teams should comprise no more than 12 people and no less than seven. One bilingual team member is very beneficial. Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, 16 if accompanied by an adult.

Health: Team members should be in good health. Anyone with chronic medical conditions should not volunteer for this project. Most clinics will be conducted in a hot dusty climate. Volunteers will need to make sure the following vaccines are up to date: Typhoid, Hepatitus A and B, Tetanus. Malaria pills are also required. Whoever is administering your shots can tell you what you need for Honduras.

Other: Smoking and Drinking is offensive to most Honduran Christians. Please refrain from these activities when participating in the medical clinics and church services.
