2014 has been a busy year for us!
We’ve hosted volunteer groups from Grove City College, Church of the Apostles, Carol Martin’s Dental Team, Vanderbilt University, University of Florida, Franklin & Marshall College, and Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. In total, that’s 93 volunteers. With these groups, we’ve held 29 clinic days and seen 12,942 patients!
Several other projects have been taking place behind the scenes too – we received a shipping container of medical supplies in January, we opened the doors to the new school built in the community Los Ranchos de Esquimay, laid flooring at a school in El Chapparal converting from an elementary school to a C.E.B. (including high school students), we’ve launched a pilot site for our new “Consistent CARE
CARE is now ALSO registered at AmazonSmile!” program, and are awaiting the arrival of our next food container from Kids Against Hunger and wheelchair container from Free Wheelchair Mission.
All you have to do is visit “smile.amazon.com” rather than “amazon.com” — When you shop at AmazonSmile, Amazon will donate to Central American Relief Efforts. Support us every time you shop!
Stay tuned for more updates about the progress we’re making this year.
